What is your president reading?

Drsonnet Sonnet Cardiology specialist

This  note is sent from the president of USA; B Obama to Yann Martel; the Candian writer about his book Life of Pi.

He finished the book  with his daughter and sent mail for the author to say: Thank you.

Y Martel said: In  two lines, Obama did an insightful analysis of Life of Pi.  He was so surprised and grateful saying: Bless him, bless him!

What about the PM of Canada S Harper..?

This is the Book Number 76: One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich, by Alexander Solzhenitsyn. The summary and comment was sent for him to read. Note this is number 76 since April, 2007. His first note was on book of   Leo Tolstoy This is not a secret and published on internet.

For as long as Stephen Harper is Prime Minister of Canada, I vow to send him every two weeks, mailed on a Monday, a book that has been known to expand stillness. That book will be inscribed and will be accompanied by a letter I will have written. I will faithfully report on every new book, every inscription, every letter, and any response I might get from the Prime Minister, on this website.

However, in his last mail: Yann Martel said:

After all, why should I be alone in making reading suggestions to you? My knowledge of the book world is very limited. Why not plumb the literary depths of other writers?
So your next book and letter, to be delivered to your office in exactly two weeks, on Monday, March 15th, will come from a different Canadian writer. I won’t tell you who—let it be a surprise—nor do I have any idea what the next book will be. That too will be a surprise.
Yours truly,
Yann Martel

No one will forget when President Chavez had given Obama Book on Latin American History :"The Open Veins of Latin America: Five Centuries of the Pillage of a Continent" during the rounds of the annual Summit of the Americas in Trinidad and Tobago in 2009.

What about the Arab presidents?
