Sahih International
And give the women [upon marriage] their [bridal] gifts graciously. But if they give up willingly to you anything of it, then take it in satisfaction and ease.Muhsin Khan
And give to the women (whom you marry) their Mahr (obligatory bridal money given by the husband to his wife at the time of marriage) with a good heart, but if they, of their own good pleasure, remit any part of it to you, take it, and enjoy it without fear of any harm (as Allah has made it lawful). 1- Hazrat 'Aisha (RA) is said to report this marriage quote:
I asked the Prophet, "O Allah's Apostle! Should the women be asked for their consent to their marriage?" He said, "Yes." I said, "A virgin, if asked, feels shy and keeps quiet." He said, "Her silence means her consent."
(Bukhari Volume 9, Book 85, Number 79:
1- The Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
`O young people! Whoever among you can support a wife should marry, for that is more modest for the gaze and safer for your private parts.'

3- The Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"When a man marries, he has fulfilled half of his religion, so let him fear Allah regarding the remaining half."
( Marriage quotation from Bayhqi)
4- The Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"A man marries a woman for four reasons: for her property, for her rank, for her beauty, and for her religion (and character). So marry the one who is best in the religion and character and prosper".
Husband and wife should discuss and communicate with wisdom with each other to convey what they like and dislike of each other to do or not to do. Do NOT give commands or instructions like he’s your servant.

-bless your relationships as you adopt a forgiving attitude (Proverbs 17:9); He who forgives an offense seeks love, but he who repeats a matter alienates a friend (Proverbs 17:9 RSV).
-be pleased as you keep peace (Psalm 133:1).
-perfect all virtues as you cultivate love (Colossians 3:14).
Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous, it does not brag, and it is not proud. Love is not rude, is not selfish, and does not get upset with others. Love does not count up wrongs that have been done. Love is not happy with evil but is happy with the truth. Love patiently accepts all things. It always trusts, always hopes, and always remains strong. 1Corinthians13:4-7
