Sahih International
He sends down from the sky, rain, and valleys flow according to their capacity, and the torrent carries a rising foam. And from that [ore] which they heat in the fire, desiring adornments and utensils, is a foam like it. Thus Allah presents [the example of] truth and falsehood. As for the foam, it vanishes, [being] cast off; but as for that which benefits the people, it remains on the earth. Thus does Allah present examples.Muhsin Khan
He sends down water (rain) from the sky, and the valleys flow according to their measure, but the flood bears away the foam that mounts up to the surface, and (also) from that (ore) which they heat in the fire in order to make ornaments or utensils, rises a foam like unto it, thus does Allah (by parables) show forth truth and falsehood. Then, as for the foam it passes away as scum upon the banks, while that which is for the good of mankind remains in the earth. அவன்தான் வானத்திலிருந்து மழையை இறக்கினான்; அப்பால் ஓடைகள் அவற்றின் அளவுக்குத் தக்கபடி (நீரைக் கொண்டு) ஓடுகின்றன அவ்வெள்ளம் நுரையை மேலே சமந்து செல்கிறது (இவ்வாறே) ஆபரணமோ அல்லது (வேறு) சாமான் செய்யவோ (உலோகங்களை) நெருப்பில் வைத்து உருக்கும் போதும் அதைப் போல் நுரை உண்டாகின்றது இவ்வாறு சத்தியத்திற்கும், அசத்தியத்திற்கும் அல்லாஹ் (உவமை) கூறுகிறான்; அழுக்கு நுரை (பலனற்றதாக இருப்பதால்) அழிந்துபோய் விடுகிறது ஆனால் மனிதர்களுக்குப் பலன் அளிக்கக் கூடியதோ, பூமியில் தங்கி விடுகிறது இவ்வாறே அல்லாஹ் உமமைகளைக் கூறுகிறான்.
