“Fasting and Ramadan” Encyclopedia Available on Hozeh Website

-- The Encyclopedia of “Fasting and Ramadan” has been made available on the Hozeh Website since the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan. The encyclopedia has been complied to provide the public with all the information regarding the holy month, head of Noursoft Institute said. Akbar Poustchian also noted that the encyclopedia includes 418 articles, book excerpts, questions and answers, and thesis abstracts categorized in 17 main and 17 secondary topics. It is now available on Hozeh website for researchers in religious sciences. The main topics include the essence of fasting, historical background of fasting in different religions and cultures, fasting and Ramadan in view of the Quran and Hadith, the Infallibles’ fasting, the holy month of Ramadan, types of fasting, and sighting the crescent moon to mark the beginning and end of Ramadan.
