Earth’s Information

                                                         Earth’s Information

The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) recited this Aayah: “That Day it (the earth) will declare its information (about all that happened over it of good or evil).” [Surah Az-Zalzalah, Ayat 4] He (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) then asked his Companions: “Do you know what ‘its information’ is?” They said: “Allah and His Messenger know best.” He said: “Its information means that it will testify against every man and woman about what they did on its surface. It will say, ‘On such and such a day they did such and such. That is ‘its information.’” [Tirmidhi]

Among the witnesses against a person will be the earth, and days and nights; they will testify about what was done to them and against them. Wealth will testify against its owner; a person’s own body will testify against him; and the angels who record deeds, both good and evil will also be witnesses. Imaam Qurtubi devoted a chapter to this subject in his Tadhkirah.

Rewarded both Places if Pure of Shirk

Rewarded both Places if Pure of Shirk

The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “Allah does not deal unjustly with the believer with regard to his Hasanaat. He gives him things in return for it in this world and will reward him for it in the Hereafter.” [Muslim]

A believer is rewarded for his/her good deeds in this world as well as in the Hereafter. This is the case for those who truly believe in Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) and submit to His commands. Many of the Kuffar in all ages, including the Prophet’s time, believed in Allah but they did not obey Him or follow His Messenger. In order for your good deeds to be rewarded your beliefs and deeds need to be pure of Shirk.

Shirk (associating others with Allah) cancels out good deeds. Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) says: “If you join others in worship with Allah, (then) surely, (all) your deeds will be in vain.” [Quran: Surah 39, Ayat 65]

Shirk is of four types:

1. Shirk in Allah’s Lordship. Tawheed is to believe that Allah is the Creator, Sustainer and Cherisher of all that exists. For example, believing that “nature” or “natural law” operates independently or outside of His Will and Control is to do Shirk in Allah’s Lordship (make “nature” a God along with or in place of Allah.)

2. Shirk in Allah’s Names and Attributes; to believe that anyone or anything shares any of Allah’s attributes, e.g. to believe that anyone besides Allah is “Knower of the Unseen” – as Shiah claim about their Imams.

3. Shirk in Allah’s Sole Right to Legislate; to believe that anyone has the right to make laws against what Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) has legislated or outside of the limited spheres in which Allah has allowed us to legislate e.g. modern parliaments make laws on the basis of what the majority allow disregarding what Allah has allowed or forbidden.

4. Shirk in Allah’s Right to Alone be Beseeched for Help; to pray to any entity other than Allah, such as to idols, or pious people in graves, or at shrines.

Surat Al-Kahf ( about Dhul-Qarnayn. )

Surat Al-Kahf
18:83
Sahih International
And they ask you, [O Muhammad], about Dhul-Qarnayn. Say, "I will recite to you about him a report."

18:86
Sahih International
Until, when he reached the setting of the sun, he found it [as if] setting in a spring of dark mud, and he found near it a people. Allah said, "O Dhul-Qarnayn, either you punish [them] or else adopt among them [a way of] goodness."

18:94
Sahih International
They said, "O Dhul-Qarnayn, indeed Gog and Magog are [great] corrupters in the land. So may we assign for you an expenditure that you might make between us and them a barrier?"

18:98
Sahih International
[Dhul-Qarnayn] said, "This is a mercy from my Lord; but when the promise of my Lord comes, He will make it level, and ever is the promise of my Lord true."

"இது என் இறைவனிடமிருந்துள்ள ஒரு கிருபையே ஆகும், ஆனால் என் இறைவனுடைய வாக்குறுதி நிறைவேறும்போது, அவன் இதனையும் தூள் தூளாக்கி விடுவான்; மேலும், என் இறைவனுடைய வாக்குறுதி (முற்றிலும்) உண்மையானதே" என்று கூறினார்.

Surah Ar-Rahman with English Translation

Reciter: Mishaaree bin Raashid Al-'Afaasee / Mishary Al-Afasy.

Surat ar-Rahman (Arabic: سورة الرحمن) is the 55th Surah of the Qur'an with 78 ayat. It has the refrain: "Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?"

Ar-Rahman is often regarded as the 'beauty of the Quran', in accordance with a hadith: Abdullah Ibn Mas'ud reported that the Prophet Muhammad said, "Everything has an adornment, and the adornment of the Qur'an is Surah ar Rahman" [Bayhaqi in Shuab al Eiman]

The main theme of the Surah is giving manifestation and fruits to the attribution of Allah's mercy and grace, which is evident right from the beginning, till the very end.

Words of Wisdom and Hope

"So blessed be God, the best of the creators!"
— Holy Quran, 23:14

The company of a good friend is like an owner of musk; if you don’t buy anything, you will get the smell of it.
The company of a bad friend is like the blacksmith’s bellows; if you are not affected by its black dirt, you will be touched by its smoke.
Prophet Muhammed (saw)

Anger begins with madness and ends with regret.
–Ali RA

An hour’s contemplation is better than a year’s adoration.
–Prophet Muhammad saw (Can’t find the narrator)

"What is destined will reach you, even if it be underneath two mountains. What is not destined, will not reach you, even if it be between your two lips!"
— An Arabic proverb
Let love be selfless/and truth fearless;/Let our breasts be flooded with light–/Make our hearts clear as crystal.
–Muhammad Iqbal

"Then outwardly you are the small universe! Then inwardly you are the great universe."

"Man is the being who, from cradle to grave has to abide by either his man-made laws or heavenly law."
— by Mawlana Faizani

Without hardship, there is no treasure; he who worked is paid in full measure."
— Couplet

If misfortune befalls you, it is the consequence of your own actions. Yet God forgives much. On this earth you can not escape God; and there is no one apart from God who can protect or help you.

- Qur'an, Ash-Shura, Surah 42:30-31

Love and mercy:
"And among His signs is this that He created for you mates from among yourselves, that ye may dwell in tranquility with them, and He has put love and mercy between your (hearts); verily in that are signs for those who reflect." Translation of the Holy Quran Chapter 30, Verse 21

‘Ilm (knowledge) without ‘aql (intelligence) is like having shoes with no feet. And ‘Aql without ‘ilm is like having feet with no shoes.
