Surat Al-`Alaq (The Clot) - سورة العلق
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Recite in the name of your Lord who created -Muhsin Khan
Read! In the Name of your Lord, Who has created (all that exists), Tamil NEW
(யாவற்றையும்) படைத்த உம்முடைய இறைவனின் திருநாமத்தைக் கொண்டு ஓதுவீராக.

Created man from a clinging substance.Muhsin Khan

´அலக்´ என்ற நிலையிலிருந்து மனிதனை படைத்தான்.

Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous -Muhsin Khan

Who taught by the pen -Muhsin Khan

அவனே எழுது கோலைக் கொண்டு கற்றுக் கொடுத்தான்.

Taught man that which he knew not.Muhsin Khan

மனிதனுக்கு அவன் அறியாதவற்றையெல்லாம் கற்றுக் கொடுத்தான்.

No! [But] indeed, man transgressesMuhsin Khan
Nay! Verily, man does transgress all bounds (in disbelief and evil deed, etc.). Tamil NEW
எனினும் நிச்சயமாக மனிதன் வரம்பு மீறுகிறான்.

அவன் தன்னை (இறைவனிடமிருந்து) தேவையற்றவன் என்று காணும் போது,

Have you seen the one who forbidsMuhsin Khan

தடை செய்கிறானே (அவனை) நீர் பார்த்தீரா?

A servant when he prays?Muhsin Khan
A slave (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) when he prays? Tamil NEW
ஓர் அடியாரை - அவர் தொழும்போது,

Have you seen if he is upon guidanceMuhsin Khan
Tell me, if he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is on the guidance (of Allah)? Tamil NEW
நீர் பார்த்தீரா? அவர் நேர்வழியில் இருந்து கொண்டும்,

Or enjoins righteousness?Muhsin Khan
Or enjoins piety? Tamil NEW
அல்லது அவர் பயபக்தியைக் கொண்டு ஏவியவாறு இருந்தும்,

Have you seen if he denies and turns away -Muhsin Khan
Tell me if he (the disbeliever, Abu Jahl) denies (the truth, i.e. this Quran), and turns away? Tamil NEW
அவரை அவன் பொய்யாக்கி, முகத்தைத் திருப்பிக் கொண்டான் என்பதை நிர் பார்த்தீரா,

Does he not know that Allah sees?Muhsin Khan
Knows he not that Allah does see (what he does)? Tamil NEW
நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் (அவனைப்) பார்க்கிறான் என்பதை அவன் அறியவில்லையா?

No! If he does not desist, We will surely drag him by the forelock -Muhsin Khan
Nay! If he (Abu Jahl) ceases not, We will catch him by the forelock, Tamil NEW
அப்படியல்ல: அவன் விலகிக் கொள்ளவில்லையானால், நிச்சயமாக நாம் (அவனுடைய) முன்னெற்றி ரோமத்தைப் பிடித்து அவனை இழுப்போம்.

No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allah ].Muhsin Khan
Nay! (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him))! Do not obey him (Abu Jahl). Fall prostrate and draw near to Allah!Tamil NEW
(அவன் கூறுவது போலல்ல) அவனுக்கு நீர் வழிபடாதீர்; (உம் இறைவனுக்கு) ஸுஜூது செய்து (வணங்கி அவனை) நெருங்குவீராக.
