What you are on the inside will eventually reveal itself on the outside and on your face. Umar (radi Allahu anhu) was an expert face reader. Once a man passed Umar (radi Allahu anhu) and he remarked that the man had dealt with magic: that he was either a magician or had been a magician. People inquired from him and he admitted that he had been a magician prior to Islam.
Silvan Tomkins, a modern day expert at mind reading was tested. He was able to tell looking only at photographs of faces, with all contextual clues removed, that members of one tribe of Papua New Guinea were a sweet, gentle, very peaceful, very indulgent people. The faces alone of the men of another tribe in the same jungles of Papua New Guinea made Tomkins describe them as "violent, and there is lots of evidence to suggest homosexuality." In fact, that tribe required pre-adolescent boys to serve as courtesans to the elders of the tribe. He pointed to various wrinkles and bulges on the faces of the tribesmen that allowed him to accurately describe what these people were like. [Blink, Malcolm Gladwell]
Before you head under the laser or blame the surge of time, look within yourself. Is your face losing its youthful innocence because of the movies, songs and unclean thoughts that are pouring into you? An unhealthy body demonstrates much about one’s mental, emotional and spiritual state. Work on your relationship with Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) and His Messenger. This will improve your relationship with yourself and with others, and be reflected in your health and looks.
