The Deepest advice I have heard on bringing up Children.

200907311129.jpg
Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life’s longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.
You may give them your love but not your thoughts,
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow,
which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them,
but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.
You are the bows from which your children
as living arrows are sent forth.
The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite,
and He bends you with His might
that His arrows may go swift and far.
Let our bending in the archer’s hand be for gladness;
For even as He loves the arrow that flies,
so He loves also the bow that is stable.

a famous poem

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest, if you must, but don't you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about,
When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don't give up though the pace seems slow--
You may succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than,
It seems to a faint and faltering man,
Often the struggler has given up,
When he might have captured the victor's cup,
And he learned too late when the night slipped down,
How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out--
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far,
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit--
It's when things seem worst that you must not quit.

What does Islam really teach?

A look into Islamic beliefs from the Quran and the Sunnah. if you're sick of all the lies spreading around about Islam.. the Islam that you know you weren't raised with. then just send the hater this link.

Quran 13:11 says: Verily, God does not change men's condition unless they change their inner selves...

***It's time for a change!***

Translation of Nasheed

YA ADHEEMAN (Oh Most Magnificent!)

My soul is brightened by a light in my heart
When I praised God of mankind
And my soul is cheered up and the tears were flowing
Oh God! guide my heart to reason
In the tranquility of the night I pray during worshiping
While the black darkness is all around me
Oh Most Kind! Oh Most Merciful! Oh Most Forbearing!
Oh Most Kind! Your gifts are endless
Oh All-Hearing! Oh Answerer! Oh Most Magnificent!
Oh Creator of the strong predatory animals! Guide me
Guide me to truth, God
I depend on your guidance today
Oh God of the universe! You are my aid
You are the refuge of man in the afterworld
Here I am God, asking your forgiveness
Forgive me and grant me my wish

Rhymes of Praise - Wedding Nasheed

Wedding Nasheed – Rhymes of Praise – Labbayk
Lyrics:
It is a day of so much bliss
In the gathering that we all stand
Under the blue sky we all celebrate
Husband and wife hand-in-hand
There are children cheering
And the birds are chirping
Oh the happiness that fill the air
And the angels descend
Bringing blessings from Allah
That we can feel everywhere

Chorus
Oh its a day of rejoicing
A day of peace, a day when a pair fulfil
Half of their Deen
Oh its a day of rejoicing
A day of peace, a day when a pair fulfil
Half of their Deen

Let us all spend some time together
Remembering Allah Most High
Let not the evil of Shaytan
Get the better of us in this life
And of the creatures of Allah
We are created the best
On this earth from the rest
Remember Allah always,
In remembering Him
Our hearts will find its rest

Chorus

Turn wherever you want in life
But never forget the Almighty
Remember He is the-Sustainer
Of you and your family
There may be hardship on your way
Live them content and with patience
No matter how deep they may be
Remember Allah always
In remembering Him
Your hearts will find its peace

Chorus

A SMILE

Smile

A smile costs nothing, but gives much.
It enriches those who receive,
without making poorer those who give.
It takes but a moment,
but the memory of  it sometimes lasts forever.
None is so rich or mighty
that he can get along without it.
A smile creates happiness in the home,
fosters good will in business,
and is the countersign of friendship.

It brings rest to the weary,
cheer to the discouraged,
sunshine to the sad,
and it is natures best antidote for trouble.
Yet it cannot be bought, begged,
borrowed, or stolen,
for it is something that is of no value
to anyone until it is given away.
Some people are too tired to give you a smile.
Give them one of yours,
as none needs a smile so much
as he who has no more to give.

Harm others in the forenoon,

Harm seeks thee in afternoon. -Thirukkural

There are good ships, and there are wood ships, and ships that sail the sea.  But the best ships, are friendships, and may they always be.

Imam Shafii (rha) Beautiful Poems

Imam Shafii (rha) Beautiful Poems

Poems By Imam Shafi’ (Rahimullah)
If a man spreads his secret with his own tongue
and blames another… then he is a fool.
If his own breast is too narrow to conceal his own secret,
Then the breast of the one in whom he places it is even narrower.

A friend who does not benefit at the time of hardships,
Is close to an enemy on the scales,
The friend does not remain, during all times,
Nor does the brother, except for consolation.
I searched the days, with all my strengths
for a brother to trust, but my search was fruitless,
The lands and those who live them were barren,
As though its people were not people [I wanted them to be]

Part from the days where you used to do as you wish
And restrain your soul when the decree of Allah is ordained
And don’t despair over the events of the past
For none of the events of the dunya were ever meant to remain
And be a man who is firm upon his affairs
And whose character is that of pardoning and nobility
And there is no sadness or happiness that is continuous
Just as there is there is no comfort or pain
If you are a person who is satisfied with what he has
Then you and the owner of all possessions are equal
And upon he who’s open valley death descends upon
Then there is no earth or sky to protect you from it
And the earth of Allah is vast but
When the ordainment of Allah descends even the open valley congests.

“And from misery is that you love, and (the one) who you love, loves other than you,
or that you want good for a person, and he wants to hurt you”.

I complained to Waki about the weakness of my memory
So he ordered me to abandon disobedience
And informed me that the knowledge is light
And that the light of Allaah is not given to the disobedient

Let not your tongue mention the shame of another
For you yourself are covered in shame and all men have tongues.
If your eye falls upon the sins of your brother
Shield them and say: “O my eye! All men have eyes!”
